Bobcat & Basil
By Foster Mom

The night Joy brought the boys over, they took it upon themselves to examine every nook and cranny of the house. After a thorough inspection, they agreed that this would be the perfect foster home for them.

Although Basil and Bobcat are brothers, they have very different personalities. Basil is smaller, sweeter, and more trusting. He is usually the leader. Once Bobcat sees that things are OK, he will follow.

Bobcat was a bit more skeptical about his new home but that didn't stop him from missing a meal. He loves to eat. He's very handsome and is going to be a big boy. Once he comes to trust you, he is every bit as affectionate as Basil. He is a bit more vocal than Basil. When they first arrived, they wouldn't let me pick them up and hold them, but realized this comes with a good petting and back-scratch, so they are OK with it now.

They do everything together. They play together, sleep together, eat together, and groom each other (which usually turns into a wrestling match). When they are not playing, they are sleeping, usually arm in arm in a bundle of fur.

They both have a very soft, sweet meow and both love to be scratched on the back, neck and stomach, so much that they will fall off the side of the couch enjoying this.

When they are not sleeping, they are playing. The sillyest things can keep them amused for hours. They quickly delved into the box of kitty toys and particularly like the small furry mice, expecially when they still have a little rattle left to them. Another great playtime activity and exercise is to try to catch the little red laser pointer light. I'm amazed that they haven't yet figured out that they will never catch that little red dot. They also enjoy trying to catch the fish in the aquarium and will usually do this in the morning until Mom wakes up.

They are both very good about using the litter box and the scratching post and haven't broken anything (yet).

Two little tigers
The bathtub is a favorite place to wrestle...
...and a drippy faucet can provide hours of entertainment.
A handsome guy, Bobcat is the bigger and has darker, softer fur.
He's lighter in color with the same exotic tiger stripes as his brother.

He also enjoys quiet time watching birds and bugs.
So much for that "no cats on the table" rule.
In most cases they are both pretty good about staying out of restricted areas, like my office, but they don't let me forget that they are not happy about it.
Basil is smaller and more affectionate.
Finding Nemo was a favorite movie for them both
Grooming sessions often turn into wrestling matches, but neither of them ever stop purring.
Basil will climb the walls to catch that laser pointer light
